The scalar field is between the lids and is shaped like a football, with its width about half the length (like a Zeppelin).
If your cupboard is at the foot of the bed, behind the lids, then no problem because nothing is in the field. If your cupboard is on the side of the bed then those materials may be in the edges of the field but it’s not going to affect anything too much.
Just make sure the lid tops that send and receive the field, are at least 2 feet away from anything, especially your head and toes, or body sides, etc.
